Attorney Ecem Nur Öztürk completed her legal education at Yaşar University Faculty of Law and previously graduated with honors from Bilkent University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

She is a registered attorney with the Istanbul Bar Association and, although not actively practicing, holds a Customs Broker Assistant (B License) issued by the Ministry of Trade.

She began her career as a Legislative Intern at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, later joining CustomsAudit Customs and Foreign Trade Consultancy, where she served in several roles, including Regional Manager, Business Development and Project Manager, and Legal Counsel. Her expertise covers customs duties, administrative fines, smuggling offenses, royalty and licensing agreements, origin and tariff disputes, and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) projects.

Combining legal, regulatory, and technical knowledge, she adopts a systematic approach to resolving customs-related disputes. Her work encompasses not only litigation and defense but also preventive legal consultancy to ensure compliance and reduce future risks. She provides strategic solutions and risk management support for companies by integrating the legal and operational aspects of international trade processes.

Fluent in English, Attorney Öztürk has prepared numerous expert opinions, regulatory analyses, and risk assessment reports in both Turkish and English. She offers professional legal services by combining her academic background with extensive practical experience in customs and international trade law.

With over 40 years of experience in customs and foreign trade, Dr. Mehmet Yıldırım is among Turkey’s leading experts in the field. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences and obtained his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the same institution. He also completed postgraduate studies in Business Management and International Business at New Hampshire College in the United States. Dr. Yıldırım holds the titles of Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Customs Broker and Independent Auditor.

He began his career as a Customs Inspector and later served as Head of the Department of Tariff, Incentives, and Duty-Free Imports at the Directorate General of Customs. He also acted as Head of the Anti-Smuggling and Narcotics Department before being appointed as a Customs Attaché at the SECI Center in Bucharest, Romania, representing Turkey in international organizations. His work includes significant contributions to the development and implementation of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program.

Dr. Yıldırım is the founding partner of CustomsAudit Customs and Foreign Trade Consultancy and Focus Customs Brokerage. His deep expertise in customs valuation, classification, origin, smuggling, and international customs policy provides valuable insight and strategic analysis to both administrative and judicial processes.
